The El Paso Border Youth Athletic Association held a highly successful High School Baseball Prospect Camp this past December. Over 100 student-athletes, from freshmen to seniors, showcased their skills in front of coaches from 10 colleges and universities. This event provided a valuable platform for athletes to engage with recruiters, resulting in several students receiving follow-up emails and phone calls.
Our goal of assisting El Paso students in obtaining athletic and academic scholarships was well-supported by this event. We have photos from the day to highlight these memorable moments and the benefits to the students and their families.

Summer League
The 2024 BYAA College Prep Summer Baseball League in El Paso proved to be a pivotal platform for high school athletes looking to stay competitive during the off-season. Taking place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, the league offered a unique opportunity for players to hone their skills in a challenging and structured environment. With each team participating in approximately 12 games, the league provided numerous opportunities for players to showcase their talent and enhance their performance.
What set this league apart was its exclusive status as the only high school summer baseball league in El Paso. This exclusivity added to the league’s significance, attracting top-tier talent and fostering a heightened level of competition. As players aimed to stay sharp during the off-season, the BYAA College Prep Summer Baseball League became a crucial avenue for skill development, teamwork, and exposure to collegiate scouts.
The league’s schedule on Tuesday and Thursday evenings allowed players to balance their commitment to the sport with other summer activities. The games will be held at local high school fields and Ascarate Park. The strategic timing also made it convenient for scouts, coaches, and families to attend games and witness the emerging talent on display.
Overall, the 2024 BYAA College Prep Summer Baseball League not only served as a platform for high school athletes to maintain their competitive edge but also contributed significantly to the local baseball scene, establishing itself as a key fixture in El Paso’s sports calendar.
College Prep
The El Paso Border Youth Athletic Association is excited about our College Prep Program for high school students. This initiative is designed to equip students with the knowledge and resources needed for success in high school and a smooth transition to college. Our program includes the summer league and the highly acclaimed Prospect Camp.
